Orous (or Orus) is a planet located in the Canubulum system. It is known as the birthplace of humanity, the capitol of the Intergalactic Commonwealth, and it is one of the oldest known bastions of civilization in the universe. It is the base of the Aegis and the location of the Commonwealth Ministry, an intergalactic hub for bureaucracy and administration.
Description[]
Orous is heavily overpopulated on account of its status as the planet of origin of the human race. As a result of this, the planet's population has spread outward, building cities that soar into space and creating artificial structures that orbit the planet. These structures are independent eco-systems containing farms for agricultural production, industrial zones and residential areas.[1] The wealthiest residents of Orous, including entitled families, live in residential units found in the outermost rings.[2]
Role in the film[]
Jupiter Jones travels to Orous with the Aegis, Caine Wise and Stinger Apini in order to be recognized as the recurrence of Seraphi Abrasax at the Commonwealth Ministry's Hall of Titles. After successfully having her position recognised, Jupiter prepares to leave Orous; however, she is ambushed by agents working for Titus Abrasax and is forced to leave in their company.
